A day in the life of me.

Hi all.  Checking in from a Starbucks in Houston.  We (Cody Underwood and I) have officially visited two half price book stores and I have over 10 books to announce but that is a different blog post.  Beside me sit two of the most well kept men I have seen in a long while.  Plucked eye browns, hairless legs, and designer glasses.  The sound of grinding beans and steamed milk linger in the background. Ahhh...Houston.  Not quite my city of choice but still a city and only a few hours away from home. We ate at Chuy's this afternoon and the service was good and tea fresh.  I have no complaints.  Our waitress had a voice that was similar to a disney princess.  Yes, a disney princess.

I love to people watch but since my back is turned I have resorted to listening to other peoples conversations.  I can't help but wonder what they are really talking about and if the things they are saying are significant to them.  One is talking about theatre, musicals, and skits.  I almost turned around to join in on the conversation but decided not to.  There are few other's that are discussing music, graphic art, and drop box.  I sometimes wonder if these strangers are famous in there own little way or if they are the most popular in their groups.  Hmm. I am sure many people have eavesdropped my public conversations. I seem to be a loud talker especially when I get excited about something.

p.s.  An odd thing just happened.  We are at this insignificant Starbucks in Houston and Cody and I glanced out the window and there was a girl sitting at an outside table that we both recognized from home.  What are the odds?  I guess it proves that this really is a small world.  No matter the size...I am ready to conquer it.

Today was full of coffee, friendship, and books and I can't complain. Officially signing out and will update my book finds when I return home.
